Andrew Liveris AO is the inaugural President of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee, and the former Chair and CEO of Dow Chemical.
He currently serves as Chair of The Hellenic Initiative. He is a Director of Lucid Motors, IBM, Saudi Aramco, Worley, Novonix and the Minderoo Foundation, and sits on Advisory Boards for Salesforce, the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, M Klein and Co, Teneo and NEOM. He is a Special Advisor to the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
His public, private and philanthropic experience is well-respected globally, having advised three US presidents and served as co-chair of President Barack Obama’s Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, as well as an adviser to President Trump and President Biden. He is also the Founder of the Liveris Academy at the University of Queensland.
Though his various business interests take him across the world, he is a proud Australian at heart, born in the Northern Territory and educated in Brisbane at Brisbane State High School and University of Queensland.
