Richard White is the CEO and Founder of WiseTech Global, the leading developer and provider of breakthrough software solutions to the global logistics execution industry. Under his visionary leadership, the company has grown from a small startup in Sydney to an ASX-listed multinational company with approximately 3,000 employees and customers in over 173 countries.
WiseTech Global’s cloud-based logistics platform, CargoWise, is used by more than 18,000 logistics organisations including 24 of the top 25 largest global freight forwarders such as DHL, Kuehne+Nagel and Maersk. The company has 35 product development centres and continues to expand its global footprint.
White has extensive knowledge of logistics operations, cross-border and supply chain compliance, and a deep technical understanding of e-commerce and global industry and technology issues. He is a Fellow, Luminarie and Adjunct Professor of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), a recipient of the 2016 NSW Tech Entrepreneur of the Year award and is a government-appointed member of the Australia Border Force Customs Advisory Board.
In his spare time, White enjoys playing guitar. He is a former musician who used to repair guitars for AC/DC and The Angels.
