The Delegation program explored the topic of resilience as a key thematic. This included a deep dive into innovation that supports operational, financial supply chain, cyber security and climate change resilience. Geopolitical and personal resilience were also delved into as part of the program.

“It was a privilege to lead the July 2023 AICC Delegation to Israel and to explore the theme of Resilience meeting with extraordinary leaders, entrepreneurs, business people and a great diversity of talented Israelis in the areas of personal and team resilience, crisis response, AI, cyber, climate, geopolitical and operational resilience. The AICC team curated an action packed agenda interwoven with culture, history, education and great food. The experience was deeply relevant to each of the delegates from diverse industries and roles. It exceeded expectations with many considering it to be the most valuable personal and professional development experience that they have had in week.”

“Thank you to the team at AICC and their twin, the Australia -Israel Chamber of Commerce for organising a program that was insightful, challenging, and fun.  I joined the July 2023 Womens Leaders Delegation to reorient myself after three years of being focused on mitigating the the negative business impacts of the Covid disruption and its aftermath. This immersive experience, in a country known for its high-tech capabilities and resilience, delivered more that I hoped and expected.

The success of the trip was a result of many factors.  The depth and breadth of the people we met and enterprises we were introduced to enabled the delegates to develop an appreciation of the strength of the interdependencies between all parts of the economy and society. .  While the book by Dan Senor and Saul Singer, The Start-up Nation, described this so called economic miracle, it was a very different experience getting to see it and meet the people that created it. They were generous in sharing their experience and showing us where they are heading.

The other success factor was the delegates themselves.  The diversity of backgrounds amongst the people set the scene for varied questions, quality discussions about what we had seen and heard, and fun along the way.  The delegation co-leads were expert at setting the tone and creating an environment where we could make the most of the experience.

While the experience in Israel felt effortless, that was the result of an enormous amount of work behind the scenes.  Thank you.”

“What an amazing experience the AICC delegation was, and at just the right time for so many of our delegation. Part cultural, historical and geopolitical immersion and part start up immersion, the 8 day mission covered a kaleidoscope of business topics from cyber security and AI to renewable energy, domestic violence, healthcare, predictive weather modelling and everything in between. The days are action packed and I described the odyssey as a corporate boot camp but it was fabulous on every level and not to be missed. If you are ever invited to join you must say YES and clear your calendar!”
